This room is math.

Oh fun, numbers.

16726: Leo - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:01 AM

Tobi is going to solve this instantly, and she won't even have to consciously think about it.

16727: Alcemon - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:04 AM

Prolly about entering the 4-digit number missing on each column.

Tobi got dis

16728: Exasperation - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:39 AM

Judging by the first row, looks like primes.

16729: Centaur - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:53 AM

Ooooh, primes. 271, 2011, 3671, 4651, 6067 are missing. Conveniently, there are exactly 19 blanks in the entry prompt.

Given the almost-complete list of primes, doing the Eratosthenes' Sieve on the intervals where the missing numbers are seems entirely possible within their time limit.

16730: Zet - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 1:00 AM

Yipp, it's primes. Maybe some aren't primes and that's the code :D

16731: Zet - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 1:01 AM

UHHH, now I see it that there are gaps - so they have to figure out the prime in between to form the code!

16732: Little Smile - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 4:09 AM

Damn, on one Hand, i really want to try and solve it. but the text is so small its to much of a bother to decipher that. xD

16733: Saiko - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 5:01 AM

Now, who has the highest INT stat, and for whom it's a dump stat?

16734: Pete - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 5:17 AM

The input is 3 groups of 5 and one of 4 which doesn't match the blanks. Could just be an arbitrary grouping though but might matter.

16735: Cluedrew - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 5:53 AM

"... Math, seriously!?"

Are you complaining about it? In a series of challenges with a bomb threatening your life it is the math you have an issue with?

16736: Liack - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 6:01 AM

There's also the odd boxes on the screen? Not on all screens...

16737: Bisected - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 6:35 AM

I wonder if Tobi's dungeons involve a lot of mathematical puzzles.

16738: Chameon - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 7:21 AM

I was going to ask if we could get a blown up version of this, but Centaur apparently already solved it. XD

16739: Exasperation - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 11:42 AM

Re: input grouping not matching the blanks: maybe it's something tricky like "the nth result is made up of the nth digit of each missing prime" (since the first number is only 3 digits long, the 4th result would be one digit shorter than the others).

16740: Storm - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:08 PM

It's weird to think how recognizable primes might be to us for largely cultural reasons, while Tobi's team members may not come from cultures so concerned with primes, their properties, or how to compute 'em.

16741: Saiko - Wednesday, March 28 2018 - 12:29 PM

@Bisected

They have lots of mathematical puzzles (*), but they are all solved using numerical method (**).

*) these puzzles involve damage and damage reduction.

**) otherwise known as "brute force".

Dangit Centaur! I wanted to do that!
