Sore loser.

I don't know about you but I sure as hell hate getting surprise fisted like that.

Hah wowzers!

Was Burk suggesting that Captain Roid Rage might be stronger than Burkself? And if some mystery character could just beat down Captain Roid Rage like that.. jeeze.

I was halfway expecting Burk to be at least on-par with Heroland's strongest heroes. But looks like Nightshade might be roughly on-par with Burk, and whoever threw that huge fist might be stronger.

Is healing magic a thing? I feel it mat be needed at this moment.

23775: Davraz - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 1:15 AM

Would make for a bad day.

23776: Suprise Fist - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 1:32 AM

Hey dat me

23777: Woodledude - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:04 AM

@Storm Part of Burk's 'strength' is knowing, in some sense, how squishy he is. He dodges a lot for a reason. That's his main thing, aside from punching people. His defense is just not really taking hits straight on. He *can* take some of those hits, but not nearly so much as a fair number of Heroland heroes. Burk is not invulnerable, and he knows this... So he avoids being in situations where that is a problem. When possible. Which allows him to be as disgustingly effective as he has been.

23778: Zyzyzyryxy - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:05 AM

Yay, finally the hero cat fight!

23779: The_Squished_Elf - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:09 AM

@Storm:
I feel like given what we've just seen, Nightshade is more likely on par with Ariara or an Elf. This would mean they aren't quite on par with Burk, who by all indications is at least as good as a Justopean Royal Guard, but definitely enough to actually give him a fight.
Also, for the record, Burk's never been the strongest in raw power. Heck, the Aristocrat's power punches were apparently heavier than anything Burk could throw. His trick is that he's fast and can deal worthwhile blows at almost no physical toll (i.e. coughing blood if he tries too hard...)

23780: Nathan400 - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:13 AM

@Storm
I think he's saying that the Pomp has enough muscle power to "Punch good", not that he can punch on a Burk level, but that doesn't mean it wont hurt. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.

23781: Tor - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:13 AM

As such the only think Burk actually suggested is that the guy is strong enough to hurt Burk if he lands a punch.

Else. Called it! That it would be Nightshade or Skystrike who would deal with this embaresment to the hero name.

23782: random - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:18 AM

Surprise fisting hurts, indeed.

Don't ask.

23783: Saiko - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 2:43 AM

I also think that fisting should be consensual, and not at all surprising.

Regarding Burk's remark, it seems he simply explains why he uses the tactics of avoidance, not that he would lose to the guy. He has been avoiding attacks of many opponents, because it's the smart thing to do. It also seems he trolls the roid guy.

23784: Chameon - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 3:19 AM

I think Burk was suggesting that Roid Rage's punches would actually hurt (Not that Burk would be at a loss in that fight), which isn't a statement he has made heretofore as far as I can recall about any caster. The sole exception where he started taking things seriously, in fact, was when he didn't have a clue what was going on (Or had sufficient knowledge to know stuff was bad) with mister Stone ages back.

23785: Bisected - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 3:50 AM

And the man at the back said "everyone attack!"...

23786: noname - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 3:55 AM

Well, that's a sound effect I've never seen used in any media ever before... It's right up there with "Suddenly Pablo!"

23787: Straightbackward - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 4:57 AM

So, gotta read the comments, but: Those background roses... were prepared for this hero. Well played. I really thought those were a one-time thing for Burk's narcissism joke or later's Evile's fakin' it out gag at the thought on Fifi causing a poopastrophe on the restaurant. I like it.

23788: Franz - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 5:03 AM

Not a good day for the pompadours

23789: Cluedrew - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 5:17 AM

Why is no-one (even the characters) shocked that Nightshade just put a hole in Doublemass? I feel like is rather extreme for a stop fighting reminder... I can't tell how much damage that giant ice fist did but both powers feel like you could restrain Doublemass much less permanently.

23790: Violet - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 5:49 AM

I can't wait to see who fisted him.

23791: someone - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 7:16 AM

It's not a sound effect so much as a comment. A sound effect would be something like "Scrunch!"

Anyway it seems Burk is still following Pablo's order not to fight, so dodging and bantering but not attacking.

23792: Agent Cook - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 8:16 AM

Excellent crafting on that surprise fist. We're dealing with a professional here

23793: Mike - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 7:45 PM

Rosemary Thorns? But rosemary doesn't have thorns, it has soft needles.

23794: Thursday - Wednesday, October 28 2020 - 9:07 PM

Wow, yes, this is a good diplomacy strategy

23795: A Loquacious Theorizer - Thursday, October 29 2020 - 12:33 AM

Rosemary thorns?
with an actual rose blossom, that does not look like rosemary.

23796: UnknownID - Thursday, October 29 2020 - 12:32 PM

It looks like this fist really hurt o.o
