I actually agree the old one was slightly better, but in terms of panel space I couldn't really pull it off. /:
If you look at the old page you'll see that I had quite a big panel reserved for that particular line, something I couldn't really do with this one without having to sacrifice another panel.
As you might've noticed with the reboot, I've been trying to be a lot more careful about keeping pacing strong. (adding superfluous content and greatly reducing length of previous scenes); sometimes that requires a biiit of sacrifice.
