Okay, we know another secret rule now. Contestants are allowed to kill a player if the victim's color matches the floor. And that's why rainbow is a free pass to kill anyone.

Honestly I'm impressed that he managed to get all those sticks of TNT lit and toss them through the bars. Feels like something that could go very wrong, if one went off early or got stuck.

But hey, maybe "toss the TNT" was one of the death games he mastered before coming here.

I hadn't really thought about it, but that does make sense now that he says it.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, this is very stupid of Levin. The Paladin can shield Jay-Jay if she's quick enough, which she probably is, and she now would be aligned with the game's best tracker in killing Levin as soon as he steps on his floor color.

Levin is very annoying but he is a true survivor, to last so long without powers, the true classical rogue.

The weird thing is, throwing lit dynamite into a room that has people in it seems like the kind of thing that might count as "indirectly" killing someone. He shouldn't even need the floor color?

...and I'd think Jay-Jay would be fine throwing the dynamite right back through the window and potentially killing Levin in the process.

Oh no... That's clever. I didn't even consider that! Hell, I wasn't even really paying attention to the floor colors! And Levin's so crafty, it's 50/50 on either that being his secret rule, or him having just figured it out by himself.

So in light of confirmation that you can kill contestants when they stand on a matching floor, I'd like to note an interesting observation.

THroughout the entire game, Smile refers to almost everyone by their game colour. Because of this, most players know most others' colours, even if those players never stated it themselves. However, there has been ONE exception.

Smile notably refers to Levin by name instead of his colour (most obvious in 1853). Is Smile actually trying to keep Levin's colour a secret? With this rule, that observation becomes rather important.

From Ward 1, Tobi, Foxy and the audience knows that Levin's colour is purple. However, there is a good chance that NOBODY ELSE IN THE GAME KNOWS THAT. That would throw a pretty big wrench in the "kill Levin when he steps on his floor colour" plan, I'd think.

I just realised, this probably also explains how Infinite got killed while not on a rainbow floor. He was on an orange floor. I'm not 100% sure if his colour was explicitly stated, but it was probably 'orange'.

This also means that we are back to square one on figuring out who killed Infinite. He died on the orange floor, which means you don't have to be a free-kill player to kill him.

That actually makes sense and I'm lowkey angry at myself that I have not figured it out. I did notice the colored floor tiles in the mine matching player colors, just did not make the killing connection.

@Tom: Its likely that the Blue Crew here took Levin's obviously visible weapons but didn't think to search him exhaustively when they disarmed him. Ms. Paladin has shown herself to be somewhat confident that she won't die easily, and also pressed for time givne the location and ghoul proximity. Levin could have easily concealed a weapon from them.

It's simpler than that, go back a couple of pagse to the entrance of this room & look in the exact spot Levin was standing after Jay-Jay told him to go in first.

So, Levin *has* to have some super-secret role that protects him, right? Because for someone that's apparently professional at death games and has won multiple before, this just stinks to high hell of "Idiot Ball".

The guy has already made an enemy of a tech-wizard and a beastman, through a failed backstab that tried to kill them both. He's generally annoyed and antagonised everyone. Now, he's trying to kill off a spirituser and paladin through another backstab. The first of which is one of the killhappy and amoral players in the game, and the second of which is the most powerful of those that kept the killhappy players in check.

He did this while everyone else is working together to escape because they're stuck in a black crystal mine with a ghoul on the loose trying to kill them. While attempting this backstab, he *shared* a special rule that would allow anyone he's pissed off kill him other places than just the rainbow floors.

For someone that's: A) a professional at death games, B) has been burned before in this very on a failed backstab that didn't manage to kill his targets, and C) indicated in the trivia round that he knows much more about the dangers of stuff like black crystal and magic than he lets on, Levin is seeming *very* blasé about ensuring his own survival.

Either he has some form of weird protection and tie to the experiment, or he has a death wish.

I do wonder if this level of backstabbery is from a deeper motive or just because he's that much of a dick. He's clearly very skilled for someone with seemingly no powers to boost him, but skill doesn't disqualify shortsightedness.

GlidedWraith are you suggesting that he may be the host? It falls either for him or Maria actually, in my opinion. But he definitely has something since he's the only one referred only by name by the Smile - and not color, if I'm not mistaken.

I guess Ezra might not be all that good guy at all (but Housten would have probably realized that if it was the case) or Bindy could actually have much more than meets the eye, but that's unlikely.

Since even Levin complained about the Smile's rules when Smiley was killed, I guess that "role" falls to Maria (which looks the second most unuseful person in this game aside from Bindy, but is always involved in big decisions - voting to kill Jay-Jay or threatening Ezra).

Back to present situation:

I agree it was the wrong move by Levin, but there are 2 points there:
1) Jay-Jay and Shalhia can't kill him right now if they escape, so it is not like that attempt would change much for him in case it fails - and I hope it does, of course;
2) Very few people there know Levin's color if I'm not mistaken.

Another possible reason for Levin's reckless goading of people into wanting him dead: might he possibly have a special rule that earns him a bonus for each person he kills in self-defense, with "self-defense" here meaning simply that they attacked him while he wasn't attacking them, no matter what he did in previous encounters?
Combining that with his apparent confidence in his own abilities, maybe he's trying to goad people into trying (and, he expects, failing) to kill him.

Mr Yellow said that the player with the kill-all rule was "likely" the killer. Then Levin wanted to say something, and then he stopped himself because he realized something. I think at that moment he knew that Yellow was either the one with insider knowledge, and maybe the killer. Otherwise, how would he know that there was another rule that made it possible to kill someone outside the rainbow floor. I guess that means the colour-floor rule was in fact Levin's secret knowledge.
But what's interesting, how does this fit with Foxy? She had a vision where she and Bindy got killed with bullets on green floor; but her colour is white.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't see this killing Shalhia. Both blue contestants are quite tough and haven't shown off the limits of their abilities.

But there's also Shalhia's vision of dying outside the mines, and the fact that she's seemingly done nothing to prevent that from coming to pass. That would mean that she's still on track to survive the game and die afterwards.

I just think Levin has to die for anyone else to win and that's why he's burning as many bridges as possible in a game he knows is about trust.
