The problem isn't the dynamite or speed, the problem are the pipes and machine that can explode and do so much worse.

I think the real problem here is that they are standing on blue ground. So Jay-Jay cannot kill Levin unpunished, hence throwing back the dynamites is not a good solution.

You know, I was rereading some of the comics to try and figure out who has which colour, and I noticed something odd. In 2592, one of the colours mentioned is 'Black' which seems to be Maria. But in 1853, there is no 'Black' but there is a 'pink' which also seems to be Maria. Is this a mistake, or intentional?

If JJ dies here Levin will have to deal with 2 ghouls. Subzero temperature IQ looking ass.

Not even counting the fact that Levin isn't on his floor colour, and therefore killing him will violate the rules...

...this is just about generally the absolute worst possible way to deal with explosives. Ever.

It's actually still possible that Levin is the host despite this. There are two possible reasons:

1) Levin is outright faking his reaction to throw off suspicion.

2) Levin, despite being the host, actually just didn't know Smiley's rule. Just because he is the host doesn't mean his knowledge of the game is absolute, especially given that there were some last-minute adjustments. Smile Foundation clearly has a lot of people on their payroll, so there probably isn't a singular mastermind in full control of the game. Whoever was responsible for Smiley may have not told the host about it. Some information may be intentionally obscured from the host to strengthen their cover; or maybe somebody is working against them; or maybe somebody just genuinely forgot.

So many ways to die! If the window closes, if the explosion is big enough, if the host sees the attempted murder, if the dynamite is sticky, if Jay is too slow…

Not if you waste time talking about it, Jay-Jay.

Jay-Jay's a little dumb, huh? Why would she do that by hand, and not have Minxery send them back to Levin? I'll bet the spirit creature could do it faster.

I don't remember all the rules, but my understanding is that if Jay-Jay throws the TNT back and it kills Levin, her life would be forfeit, correct? And if the soul mates rule is as suggested, Shalhia's life would be ended too. Considering the paladins abilities, I'm quite curious as to how the game will enforce this death.

He may be the host, sure that would make sense.
It is just a guess that he is not, he's a great player, a true rogue, the most used to Lorg games among all the others, a survivor.
I'd bet on Maria still, though.

Jay-jay isn't dumb for wanting to remove the dynamite from a room with dangerous machinery filled with toxic magic blood, questionable ventilation, and the two people she cares about the most at the moment. Plus she's a magic user specialized in copy powers, she might be able to throw them away pretty quickly.

I think she actually can kill Levin with impunity here, because the organizers lost controlno due to the Infinighoul actions.
However they will regain control and will kill Shalia (and Jay Jay probably) just after she leaves the mine. This will prove soulmates and the vision, while giving us interesting plot twist in a few pages.

You know, does Levin even have a color? Whenever Smile talked to the contestants, it referred to them by their color -- except for Levin, who is always called Levin. Never a color. He's supposedly Purple, but Smile never calls him Purple, just Levin. (Except on 1396.)
